FAQs

  • Yes. All Girls Gone Hiking events require advance registration through our website. Attendance is limited and managed carefully for safety, logistics, and group experience.

  • Friends are absolutely welcome—but each person must register individually through the website. Unregistered guests will not be permitted to join.

  • Unfortunately, you will not be able to participate. For safety, liability, and fairness reasons, we cannot allow walk-ins or add participants on-site—even if space appears available.

  • Limits help us:

    • Maintain safety on the trail

    • Ensure proper waiver coverage

    • Create a positive group experience

    • Respect land-use and parking restrictions

  • Most hikes and community meetups are free unless otherwise noted. Some events (like tailgates, ski days, or venue-based gatherings) may have a fee to cover supplies or reservations. Details will always be listed on the event page.

  • Yes! Many women come solo. These events are built for community, connection, and supporting each other - whether you are brand new or a returning member.

  • Dogs are welcome only on events where it is explicitly stated. Please double check the event description for dog-friendly attendance before bringing your pup.

  • Each hike lists the difficulty, mileage, and elevation gain. Our community welcomes all levels, just make sure to read the event details carefully so you know what to expect.

  • Please cancel your RSVP via Eventbrite so someone else can join. For capped events, this is especially important.

  • Safety comes first. If the weather becomes unsafe, we may reschedule or cancel. Updates will be emailed through Eventbrite and posted on the event page.

  • Some canyons (like Millcreek) may require a fee or pass for parking. Each event listing will note if a pass is required.

  • Most events recommend the hiking essentials: Water, proper footwear, layers, snacks, and any event-specific gear. Every event lists exact recommendations.

  • Our hikes and meetups are community-centered and open to women. Please check event description for when we welcome nonbinary friends and supportive partners / friends when noted.

  • We typically meet 15 minutes before start time to check in, introduce ourselves, and give a quick overview of the route or plan.

  • Make sure your Eventbrite email notifications are turned on. You can also follow us on Instagram and/or Facebook @GirlsGoneHiking.UT.
