Girls Gone Hiking - Community Guidelines & Event Policies

Girls Gone Hiking, LLC is a welcoming, inclusive community built on connection, respect, and a shared love for the outdoors.

By participating in our events, trips, or online spaces, you agree to the following:

• Treat all participants with kindness, respect, and consideration
• Harassment, bullying, discrimination, or exclusion of any kind will not be tolerated
• We are not politically affiliated and do not allow political or divisive discussions at events
• Respect personal boundaries, abilities, and comfort levels
• Follow event guidelines, safety instructions, and Leave No Trace principles
• Support a positive, inclusive environment for everyone

Girls Gone Hiking reserves the right to remove any participant from an event or community space if these guidelines are violated, without refund if applicable.

Event Cancellation

We understand that plans can change — please review our cancellation policies carefully before registering.

Free Events

  • If you can no longer attend, please update your RSVP or notify us as soon as possible

  • Repeated no-shows may impact future event participation

    • Attendance & No-Show Policy - To keep our events fair and accessible for everyone, we ask that members be mindful when registering.

      • If you register for an event and are unable to attend, please update your RSVP or notify us as soon as possible

      • A no-call, no-show is defined as failing to attend an event without prior notice

      • Members who receive three (3) no-call, no-show instances may lose the ability to register for future events, either temporarily or permanently, at our discretion

      • This policy helps ensure:

        • Open spots can be offered to waitlisted members

        • Events run smoothly

        • Our community remains respectful of everyone’s time and effort

  • This helps us keep events fair and accessible for everyone

  • If an emergency arises, please reach out — we understand that unexpected situations happen.

Paid Events & Experiences

  • Cancellation policies vary by event and will be clearly stated on each event page

  • Unless otherwise noted, payments for paid events are non-refundable

  • If a spot can be filled from the waitlist, we will do our best to accommodate transfers, but this is not guaranteed

Trips & Retreats

  • Deposits are non-refundable

  • Final payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated on the trip page

  • If a participant must cancel, we may offer the spot to the waitlist at our discretion

  • Girls Gone Hiking, LLC is not responsible for costs related to travel delays, weather, or personal emergencies

Weather & Safety

  • Events may be modified, postponed, or canceled due to weather, trail conditions, or safety concerns

  • In the event of cancellation by Girls Gone Hiking, participants will be notified as soon as possible and refunds or credits will be handled according to the specific event terms
