Join Girls Gone Hiking™ for our another Sunset Social of the season — and this one delivers.
The route winds through Herriman Hills Open Space, weaving up switchbacks through Juniper Canyon before opening up onto the ridgeline and rolling toward the summit of Herriman Peaks. The trail is mostly exposed, which means unobstructed, wide-open views of the Salt Lake Valley, the Wasatch Bench, the Oquirrh Mountains, and the copper mine glowing in the late afternoon light. By the time we crest the top, the valley will be bathed in that golden-hour magic we're chasing.
This is the perfect mid-week reset — good trail, good views, good people.
✨ What to Expect:
Winding switchbacks up through Juniper Canyon to the Herriman Peaks summit
Sweeping views of the Salt Lake Valley and Oquirrh Mountains at golden hour
2.5–3 hours on trail
A relaxed, social pace designed for connection and conversation
The trail is mostly exposed with minimal shade — bring water, sunscreen, and a light layer for the cool-down after sunset. Parking is limited at the trailhead, so carpooling is encouraged.
Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start promptly at 5:30 PM. Registration and signed waiver are required prior to attending.
